Mary Wadsworth

Trustee Mary Wadsworth has been a member of the Corcoran community for 31 years. Educationally, Mrs. Wadsworth has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Entomology from University of California, Davis and a Masters in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno.

She and her husband of 29 years have three children, who have all attended Corcoran schools and graduated from the local high school.

Mrs. Wadsworth believes that everyone should participate in community service and giving back to the communities in which they derive their livelihood. She states that serving on Corcoran’s educational board was an easy choice for her community service because everyone has the capacity to learn and education is vital in helping the community’s youth become critical, free, active and responsible members of society.

Other areas of community involvement for Mrs. Wadsworth include serving as president of the Corcoran Community Foundation, representative on the Measure J Bond Oversight Committee and being a member of Community and Schools Together (CAST). CAST Foundation helps provide the “extras” for Corcoran students, such as field trips, educational projects, etc.

As a Board member, Trustee Wadsworth’s priority is to ensure the District maintains a competent and well-trained staff who strive to make Corcoran Unified a Destination District while ensuring financial stability and providing effective instructional programs and comprehensive opportunities for overall student development in character, citizenship, vocations and student activities.
