Robert Alcorn

Robert Alcorn is a 47-year resident of Corcoran. A 1966 graduate of Corcoran High School, he went on to receive his A.A. from Visalia’s College of the Sequoias in 1968. Mr. Alcorn graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Pharmacy in 1972.

Robert returned to Corcoran in 1972 where he has been a Corcoran Community pharmacist since that time. He began his career at R&M Drugs and then Jerry’s Drugs, which was located in the local hospital. For the past seven years, he has been a pharmacist at Rite Aid in Corcoran.

Also in 1972, Robert married his wife Chris. The couple raised their three children in Corcoran with all of them attending Corcoran schools and graduating from the local high school. Additionally, his grandchildren have attended Corcoran schools. He is an active member of the Harvest Community Baptist Church in Corcoran.

Mr. Alcorn is very appreciative of the education he received in Corcoran schools and the opportunities education has given him. He feels that serving on the Board is a way to give back to the community and the school district.

As a board member, Mr. Alcorn’s guiding principles in making decisions are first, to remember that he is serving for the education of kids and what is best for them; second, to spend the District’s money like it is his own and to be responsible; and third, to study the information and vote for what is right.
