Get To Know Superintendent Andre Pecina
Mr. Andre Pecina serves as Superintendent of Corcoran Joint Unified School District, bringing more than two decades of experience in public education. He began his career as a classroom teacher, where he taught for nearly ten years before moving into school and district leadership. Over the course of his career, Mr. Pecina has held positions in several Central Valley districts, including Fresno and Visalia Unified, where he also led award-winning communications and community engagement efforts.
Since his appointment as Superintendent in 2024, Mr. Pecina has focused on listening to students, staff, and families to better understand the needs of the Corcoran community. His priorities include strengthening two-way communication, ensuring safe and supportive schools, and reducing barriers that impact student success.
Mr. Pecina is committed to fostering a culture of trust and collaboration across the district. He believes that by working together—students, parents, educators, and community members—Corcoran schools can provide the highest quality education while honoring the district’s strong community values.
